Cocoa Daisy – Reveal – September 2014 “Story Time”

I’ve been so excited about the September “Story Time” reveal.
I’ve been waiting to tell you a little secret.
The Main Kit AND the Day In The Life kit contain a stamp set.
These stamps contain some scribble stamps.

Guess who designed the scribbles???
The lovely Arleigh then turned them into stamps.
How cool is that?!
These stamps were also turned into cut files and photoshop brushes!
Now that is amazing!
Now I don’t have photoshop but I have given the stamps and file cuts a workout this month!
Ok so on to what I created this month.
I have not 1, not 2 but 5 (!!) layouts to share with you.
So i’ll shoosh and let your eyes to the talking.

Oh, interrupting for a minny…
LOVED the exclusive Cocoa Daisy papers for September!
These next two layouts use the two papers.

sorry, interrupting again!
These next two pages I used the Heidi Swapp alphas
But painted them with my trusty black nail polish.

Please note the pink cardstock is from my own stash.
I used a Crafter’s Workshop stencil and some gold Ferro paste to create the background.
So there you go!!
September’s kit(s) are one of my all time favourite kit(s).
So many great products and papers
And don’t get me started on the stamps *wink*!

We'll Get Lost Together Till The Light Comes Pouring Through

The new One Little Word is on Ronda’s blog

It sparked a few other words for me.

Just a few…

And a few more…

Love how a word can do that!

Also loving the wood circles from Flutterby Designs.
Versatile little suckers they are!

REVIEW - Nature’s Path

Some say breakfast is the most important meal of the day.
Some say breakfast is the hardest meal of the day.
Trying to get kids to eat breakfast can sometimes be a struggle.
During the summer holidays our girls get to choose a box of cereal, known as holiday cereal.
They almost always go for the high in sugar varieties.
So when approached to try out Nature’s Path Organic cereal I was curious
And the girls thought it was a lovely break from their regular cereal.

We tried out the Heritage Flakes, Chocolate Koala Crisp and Corn Puffs Gorilla Munch.
They were all delicious and the girls were more than happy to devour them.
Sometimes a “different” cereal can get complaints because it isn’t as sweet or tasty as the “other” brands.
There were no such complaints this time.
Most Nature’s Path products are gluten free and wheat free.
They are always made from wholegrain ingredients, are organic, GMO Free, Kosher and Vegan.
So you know that what is in the box is good for you.
And don’t think it stops there
Because it doesn’t!
The packaging is super good for you too!!
The “kid” products come in a fun box that makes for a great source of brain food.

The Chocolate Koala Crisp box was full of great information about koalas, while the Gorilla variety (Corn Puffs)
Has a box full of gorilla facts.

If you are looking for a sugary alternative for breakfast
Then why not look at the Nature’s Path range.
You might be surprised
And you might be in for a treat.

Disclosure: This is not a paid sponsored post.
I received three boxes of “Nature’s Path” cereal for review purposes,
and all opinions expressed are purely my own.

REVIEW – Tyrrells Crisps

Hi my name is Sharmaine and I like chips.
There, it’s out in the open before we start.

It had to be said because when I saw a call
For someone to review a “new to Australia” brand of chips
My taste buds got the better of me!!
So let’s start with a little get to know you question.
Chips or crisps??
I find it hard to get my tongue to say crisps.
That tongue had enjoyed chips for way to long to convert!

Is there even a difference between chips & crisps??
A quick google and you will find that it’s about origin.
A google search will also have you pondering (and salivating)
What shape a chip is meant to have.
What style of chip do you like?
The crinkle cut? The thin cut? or a thick, chunky cut?
Are you all about the seasoning??
What flavour do you favour??

Tyrrells have been making crisps for quite sometime in the UK,
Herefordshire to be precise.
They may seem to be just like any other chip but they ain’t
(said in my best English accent!).
Firstly, the potato variety  is very important
And on each packet you will find the variety of spud printed,
Along with the region it came from.
I found that P.R.E.T.T.Y. cool!
Secondly, each packet is full of hand cooked goodness.
No other chip in Australia can brag about being so well looked after!
Thirdly, the varieties are very cool.
Lightly Sea Salted, Sea Salt & Cider Vinegar,
Sea Salt & Cracked Black Pepper, Mature Cheddar & Chives,
Sunday Best Roast Chicken and Sweet Chilli & Red Pepper.

And finally, fourth of all…. HOW COOL IS THE PACKAGING??!!!
Oh my!
I smiled so broadly when I saw the fun pictures that were printed on each packet!
The crafter in me saw amazing possibilities
And can’t wait to add some packaging to my art journal pages!

Ok, focus…
Back to the chips/crisps!
Each flavour was a delicate blend of yum.
My favourite was the sea salt & cider vinegar.
The chips tasted just like cider vinegar and were delicious.
The kids all seemed to like the sweet chilli & red pepper,
Which was a mild flavour rather than a full mouthful of heat.
We ate the chips while we had family over for dinner
So there were lots of comments about who liked what flavour.
I think the cracked black pepper may have won in the adult palette stakes .

Exclusively available at Coles supermarkets nationwide,
The larger 150g bags are retailing for $4.19.
They are perfect for sharing (as we did at our family night)
Or for devouring all by yourself!

You can find out more on Tyrrells webpage
or Facebook page
or find them on Instagram tyrrellschipsau
or #tyrrellscrisps

I received several packets of “Tyrrells crisps”, a DVD and a Coles voucher for review purposes,
and all opinions expressed are purely my own.
